What rope access is.
Rope access can be described as rope-based methods in demanding environments. It was developed for the oil and gas industry, where buildings and installations are complex constructions, and the methods have become steadily more common in onshore industry in recent years.
The key to maintaining the safety of personnel doing rope-based work lies in training in equipment and rope methods, the composition of work teams, and the employer's responsibility and follow-up of personnel. This allows us to handle a range of tasks with precision and safety, while reducing both time and cost for the customer.

NS 9600
Our technicians are certified to the SOFT NS 9600 standard, which ensures a high level of safety, health and environment when working on ropes and in rope access. BRV Tilkomstteknikk is a member of SOFT.
Rope work is carried out by a team of at least three people, in accordance with SOFT requirements.
The NS 9600 standard is developed by Standards Norway and is the basis for how we work safely and efficiently at height. It covers everything from thorough training and the right choice of equipment to safe working methods and careful review of risk assessments. This means that when BRV carries out a job, we follow the strictest safety requirements, which provides security for both ourselves and our customers, especially in the offshore and industrial sectors.
